Nike Viral Video Campaign with Taylor Momsen
Gossip Girl's Taylor Momsen and Nike get together to shoot a viral video campaign for Nike Sports.
The viral clip has Momsen swarmed by photogs when leaving the gym, which is followed by some softcore parkour action. Like all of Nike's virals, this campaign is yet another success with views rocketing above 150,000. The product placement was subtle and clear, almost saying "We're Nike... and now enjoy this advertainment" (Transparency is key). And it leaves you wondering and in awe, like every viral video should.
Enjoy.

Viral Video - "Social Media Addiction" Rap
Lyrics:
I surf the web, I used to watch TV
now I'm logged into Joost, it's commercial free
lets see where I want to go
and who I want to know
connecting people with people with web 2.0
I don't use email unless I'm at my job
want the next post, I subscribe to the blog
I'm easy to find
I'm always online
social networking sites, I think I have nine
I use myspace to promote my music
I get friends and album sales that's how I do it
but tell me have you heard
about the new word
something like myspace but they call it virb
always something new, I'm a start creatin
I'll make a brand new facebook application
uploading pictures and mp3's
update my profile and hit ctrl D
can't stop what I started, it's getting ridiculous
social book mark it, add it del.icio.us
some can't take it but I just can't quit
go to Imeem and listen to my playlist
watching videos on my You Tube channel
clickin so much, my mouse smoking like a candle
I'm online for hours, addicted to the power
10 tabs open on a firefox browser
I must be going crazy cause I can't get enough
I guess I'm addicted to social media

Burger King's Facebook Viral Marketing Campaign

Crispin Porter + Bogusky never cease to amaze me. Continuing on their viral streak, following Whopper Virgins, Whopper Freakout, The Burger King King, and the Subservient Chicken, they come out with their latest campaign - Whopper Sacrifice, a facebook application / marketing ploy that actually works.
There are many Facebookers out there that seem to just rake in friends by the hundreds... friends can almost be considered as keepsakes. Most of those new relationships don't even develop. Burger King, looking to caplitalize from the Facebook application fad developed truly viral and incentivized FB campaign that takes advantage of those inherently weak connections. The application encourages users to sacrifice 10 of their friends to get a free whopper, limited to 1 whopper per person. Those sacrificed will then have the option to sacrifice another 10 of their friends, and so on - essentially viralizing the campaign.
Now by sacrificing you are actually severing ties from your so-called friends. However, "You like your friends, but you love the Whopper". It shouldn't be too hard - even if those people do find out you sold them out for a burger.

Playing for Change: Song Around the World "Stand by Me"
I brainstorm daily to develop a creative way to spread the music and art in Miami for a project a few friends and I are working on (www.knowthycity.com/sofla). After viewing this video a collaboration or mesh of arists and people in miami seems like the perfect way. Who knows.... maybe getting a few local stars involved in Miami (Dexter) could help the cause.

From the award-winning documentary, "Playing For Change: Peace Through Music", comes the first of many "songs around the world" being released independently. Featured is a cover of the Ben E. King classic by musicians around the world adding their part to the song as it travelled the globe. This and other songs such as "One Love" will be released as digital downloads soon; followed by the film soundtrack and DVD early next year.
